NAUSC ITM (Inspection, Testing and Maintenance) of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems Certification

The NAUSC ITM (Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems) Certification was developed to aid in the education and training of those employed within the field of inspection, testing and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems. Through coverage of various principles and processes, as well as, expectations, roles and responsibilities related to ITM, this certification provides new and existing inspectors with consistent and quality training that industry can depend on. This program is not intended to supersede the procedures and methodology established by contractors but rather to emphasize recognition of the requirements and experiences involved with such work. With the support of contractors and CASA, the NAUSC ITM certification program can help reduce the liability and anxiety associated with inspections.
